Hello again!
Some more about me: I love cats. Also, I'm a dual American & Canadian citizen.
I am currently the Communications Manager and a Research Fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics. I consider myself exceptionally lucky to say I love my job, which I've been at in some form since the fall of 2018, & will happily talk
to you about it for as long as you'll listen to me.
In 2024, I completed a Masters of Advanced Studies in International Affairs
at the University of California, San Diego, where my regional focus was Southeast Asia
and my career track was Security of the Asia-Pacific.
Through the Young Professionals in Foreign Policy Rising Experts
program, I was the 2023 Economics Expert. Once a month, I wrote op-eds about current economic affairs. You can find those here.
Through my undergraduate program, I studied economics & political science with a focus on European-Asian relations
at Sciences Po's Le Havre campus
in the region of Normandy, France for two years. I completed the the program with two years in Vancouver, Canada, at the University of British Columbia Sauder School of Business, where I specialized in marketing. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics & a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in marketing.
As someone who grew up in suburban America, living in Europe is at least 15% of my personality :)
Some other things about me that aren't 'I lived in Europe':
- Extremely Online™
- Firm believer in interdisciplinary social science studies and all the geo-, socio-, political, economic combinations, especially in the Asia-Pacific
- Uses this guy too much: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
- Photographer, somewhere between a hobby & a side hustle
- Cook, definitely a hobby, with an Instagram to document it all
- Passionate about reducing inequality in all senses of the word
- Years of working in social media means instinctively replacing 'and' with '&' even if there's no character count for whatever I'm writing
